Cellulose Wall & Ceiling Insulation

Cellulose Wall & Ceiling Insulation

Wall insulating is one of the most critical components in ensuring a “Health-E” home. Properly sealed, moisture protected, and insulated walls help increase comfort, reduce noise, and save on energy costs. All Health-E Community homes are insulated with wet blown cellulose insulation.

Cellulose insulates better than traditional fiberglass insulation. It not only offers more heat transfer resistance per inch than other fiber insulation materials, it also seals the home against air infiltration better than other fiber insulations.

Cellulose insulation is made from recycled newspaper and tree pulp. It contains a harmless combination of boric acid and borax, making it a fire retardant as well as an insect retardant. Cellulose is also a highly efficient sound barrier, helping to reduce noise transfer between rooms and from the outside of the home.
